Jenia, one of our designers, recently made this adorable puppy for her daughter out of Heathered Flannel, one of our wool favourites!

He's loving all the new color additions to the Heathered Flannel line!

Last week the design team went to the Museum of Art and Design to see an exhibit titled Pathmakers: Women in Art, Craft and Design, Midcentury and Today. The exhibit focuses on a core group of pioneering female artists from the 50's and 60's who made an impact in the use of alternative materials such as textiles, ceramics, and metals. The legacy of these women is relayed through a section of the exhibition that presents works by contemporary female artists and designers that echo and expand upon the work of the earlier generation. Check out a few images of the beautiful works below!

Last week the design studio visited Liz Collins, a collaborator from our Makers Collection, at her thirteenth 'Knitting Factory' at the 2015 Collective Design Fair. In its third year taking part in Design Week, the fair featured a wide range of sophisticated artisans in fields ranging from lighting to furniture to installation pieces. Entering through exhibit's discreet entrance and walking through the relatively quiet space that held the works, it was noteworthy to arrive at Liz Collin's area and hear the sound of knitting machines in use fill the space as well as the Knitting Nation girls in their white jumpsuits and white Doc Marten clad outfits.

Liz Collin's space, designated as the Knitting Factory, sat at the top of yellow painted metal stairs draped with knitted pieces.

Summer sunsets in New York City are coming to a close for the year...

Luckily we have Watercolor to keep us going through the Winter!

Here it is below in persimmon, complementing a recent sunset reflected in the movement of the Hudson River.
