Yesterday, I stopped by the studio of Coral & Tusk, a line of embroidered home accessories and children's clothing. Stephanie Housley of Coral & Tusk has always been an avid embroiderer. She also has a unique style of drawing. Her drawing style, translated into embroidery, is what makes Coral & Tusk so special. Her imagery and subject matter are quirky and humorous and sometimes verging on the dark side, which I like. The dolls (pictured above) have hidden pockets for the animal's accessories; for example, the owl has a pair of binoculars in his pants because he is a birder.
