From one of our awesome designers, Lauren Valente:

This past week I had the opportunity to travel outside of our New York Studio to Boston! It was my first time going on sales calls outside of New York. From visiting a huge architectural firm to interior designers at their home offices, I got a chance to experience what seemed to run the full gamut of outside sales calls. I love Boston – perhaps it’s because I went to school In New England (RISD) or that as a child I often went to Boston to visit family…but I have to say that Boston in the fall is very beautiful.

It was great getting to know our outside reps in Boston, Kelly Bugala and Kaitlin Caligari.  They are both very cool ladies who are excellent at what they do. Not to mention spending time with our one and only Brad Bloom, whose love for people and fabrics is infectious! It was also wonderful to connect with some of our clients. Having the opportunity to see what fabrics they reacted to the most and also how they like to put our fabrics to use was both exciting and rewarding.

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the home of designer Danit Ben-Ari. She lived in a gorgeous home full of warmth, beautiful art and fabrics. As we walked into her dining room I saw our In the Loop hanging as drapery! What a wonderful way to be welcomed!

I also had a chance to meet with the designers of Rachel Reider Interiors. They had a very cool office “loft space” that was full of color, texture and patterns - much like the interiors they create. The ladies also showed me their look book; it was fun to spot the Pollack fabrics they utilized in their interiors.

It was definitely a treat for me to get out of the studio and actually meet the people who take the fabrics that we make to the next level. Seeing the fabrics that we design in application is truly amazing.
