Ken Wampler Of Alpha Workshops

Tuesday April 24, 2012
POSTED BY: Alexandra Bruno, Marketing Department

New York Social Diary recently profiled Ken Wampler, Founder of Alpha Workshops. Alpha is the nation's only non-profit organization providing creative HIV-positive individuals with industry specific training and employment in the decorative arts. The organization is now in its 19th year.

Along with learning about Ken, the story of Alpha, and things such as dealing with life-threatening illness in the workplace, we get to see his Chelsea loft and some beautiful shots of the Workshop's studio.

POLLACK has a unique and continuing collaboration with the not-for-profit organization - a portion of the proceeds from the sales of our collaborative fabrics goes to benefit Alpha and support its programs. To visit the alphaPOLLACK collection, click here.

In Ken's home, dining chairs from the 26th Street flea market with seats covered in Alpha Workshops/POLLACK fabric Collage surround a Saarinen Tulip table

Fabrics, lamps, hand-painted papers and verre eglomisé in the showroom.
