Each colorway of Stratum features a softly monochromatic palette that yields the spotlight to a range of alluring textures. Three novelty yarns, a chenille and two bouclés, weave in various combinations, creating a rhythmic sequence of horizontal bands, unique weave effects and a lush velvet-like surface. The gentle swirls of Surakarta's abstract motif are woven with an equally plush chenille yarn that also peeks through the ground. Subtly responsive to changes in light or direction, Surakarta's lustrous and matte fibers play against each other in a contrast heightened by the raised surface of the motif. [download press image]
