pollack fabrics - steelcase select

Steelcase, the world's largest manufacturer of workplace furniture, offers POLLACK textiles as pre-approved options on their extensive seating line. As part of their Select Surfaces portfolio, described as an "enhanced level of choice for materials that are not part of the standard Steelcase offering", a selection of our highly regarded fabrics are easily available in one seamless ordering process. These designs, some from the alphaPOLLACK collection, offer many color choices and distill our distinctive contemporary aesthetic in strong graphics, subtle textures and nuanced tones - and all in hard-working constructions.

The most current testing information can be viewed at Steelcase Select Surfaces.

Sample boxes are available to registered Trade Accounts and Steelcase dealers; they can be ordered through our Shopping Bag and contain chain sets of all colorways.

The alphaPOLLACK Collection

The alphaPOLLACK Collection highlights our unique and continuing collaboration with The Alpha Workshops, the New York City not-for-profit design studio that trains and employs people living with HIV/AIDS in the decorative arts. For this collection, we commissioned original artwork to serve as inspiration for the fabrics. In a relationship where, according to Mark Pollack "they design the patterns, we design the fabrics", The Alpha Workshops printed, drew and painted patterns that cover a range of energetic territory, from a simple lyrical line to layers of pulsing or swirling color. One common element is that each artwork clearly exhibits the spontaneous hand of the artist, and we have intentionally kept this quality in our interpretations. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of these fabrics goes to benefit Alpha and support its programs.
