• Pollack is committed to the ongoing improvement of the material health of our products and the reduction of their impact on the environment.
• Pollack is committed to product transparency and is partnering with our mills, suppliers, and finishing companies to provide as much information as possible on a fabric’s chemical content and corresponding potential health risks.
• Pollack is committed to designing fabrics with performance and durability built-in, without the need for additional chemistry in backings, finishes or treatments whenever possible.

At Pollack, we believe it is our responsibility to bring to market textiles that have as little “chemistry” (flame retardants, stain repellents, backings, etc.) added as possible.

We endeavor to design fabrics that are well constructed and engineered to wear without the need for additional performance-enhancing finishes. In particular, our PURE collection is focused on the use of rapidly renewable, natural fibers and does not include additional finishes.

We also recognize that the requirements of some installations dictate the need for performance and finishes, and we offer those fabrics finished with the most effective and sustainable option available to us.

As a boutique design company specializing in unique and innovative textiles, we often partner with small bespoke mills, yarn spinners, and dyers—many of which do not have the resources to do the analysis and testing required for product transparency documentation even when they are using environmentally responsible methods.  We continue to strive for environmental responsibility and the ability to document it whenever possible.
